About Lola
Lola Migliore is an Argentinian-born chef, culinary host and entrepreneur based in Melbourne, Australia, and the founder of Cooking with Lola, a vibrant cooking school and culinary experience celebrating the flavours of Spain and Latin America.
Born in Buenos Aires to a family with Italian and Spanish roots, Lola grew up surrounded by food, hospitality and a strong Mediterranean culinary heritage. This cultural background continues to influence her cooking style today, blending Spanish, Argentine and Latin flavours with her passion for bringing people together around the table.
Before dedicating herself fully to gastronomy, Lola trained as a musician. She studied for seven years at the National Conservatory of Music, specialising in flute, piano and voice, and performed in an orchestra during her youth. Her artistic background continues to inspire the way she creates immersive culinary experiences that combine food, music, culture and storytelling.
Fluent in six languages, Lola has always been passionate about cultural exchange. In Melbourne, she founded Hola con Lola, a Spanish language school dedicated to teaching Spanish and sharing Hispanic culture with the local community. During this time, she also began hosting cooking experiences, which eventually evolved into Cooking with Lola.
Throughout her career, Lola has worked in many restaurants in Melbourne and overseas, gaining experience across different culinary traditions and hospitality environments. Her international life has also taken her through cities such as Barcelona, Ibiza, London and Paris, where she deepened her connection with Mediterranean cuisine and European food culture.
Today in Melbourne, Lola hosts cooking classes, private dining experiences and culinary events known for their vibrant and social atmosphere. Her experiences highlight paella, tapas, sangría and Latin flavours, transforming cooking into a festive cultural experience. Her cooking classes have become highly sought after and are frequently sold out, attracting both locals and international visitors.
Beyond the kitchen, Lola actively supports cultural initiatives in Melbourne and has sponsored the Spanish Film Festival, strengthening the connection between Spanish culture, gastronomy and the arts.
She has also been invited as a chef and speaker at Terra Madre Asia Pacific in the Philippines, part of the global Slow Food movement, where chefs, producers and culinary leaders gather to promote sustainable food traditions.
Today, Lola Migliore is known for creating high-energy culinary experiences that connect people through food, culture and celebration, bringing together her Mediterranean roots, artistic background and global perspective.
